Some important information to keep in mind:

All Learn to Skate USA instructors are required to complete the following compliance items:

  • Learn to Skate USA instructor certification course
  • Background Check, valid for two seasons (18 years of age or older).
  • Safe Sport Training, valid for one year from date of completion  (18 years of age or older).

Compete USA

Compete USA is designed to promote a positive competition experience at the grassroots level and increased skating participation while generating enthusiasm. Compete USA competitions incorporate skills from Learn to Skate USA and U.S. Figure Skating into a competitive format that can be easily and successfully conducted by registered Learn to Skate USA programs and U.S. Figure Skating member clubs or interclubs.

Aspire

Aim higher with Aspire! Aspire offers skaters an affordable, comprehensive package program in a safe and supportive group training environment. Skaters will learn proper skill development and training techniques while sampling different skating opportunities and fine-tuning their fundamental skating skills.

Interested in becoming a U.S. Figure Skating Coach?

Beginning in mid-February 2024, U.S. Figure Skating is excited to launch U.S. Figure Skating Coach, including a new first step that will allow those wishing to become a coach to earn a U.S. Figure Skating Coach Core Certification.  

After completing the certification and becoming a U.S. Figure Skating Certified Coach, coaches will be eligible to join U.S. Figure Skating Coach I.C.E. (Inspiring Coaching Excellence), a professional development package, that will be required to coach at sanctioned events beginning July 1, 2024.  Through Coach I.C.E., coaches will have access to continuing education, higher level accreditations, mentoring and more.
